~Character Spotlight: JD~

JD easily captures Allie's attention as the new boy next door, attractive and masculine, outdoorsy and mechanically inclined, he seems similar to lots of other eighteen year old guys.

However, time will tell that there's way more to JD than what meets the eye. Rather than being cocky and showing off with false bravado, he exudes a quiet confidence, and a soulful depth, proving his maturity. He's kind and patient, a listener who thinks things over before he speaks.

He sees Allie for who she is and their connection becomes magnetic, undeniable. Allie's empathic nature senses that there's something more going on with him, feeling the invisible weight he's carrying under the surface, the reason he's somewhat emotionally guarded.

While JD has a difficult time expressing himself, once he finally lets Allie into this world there's no going back.

Until....

In the aftermath, JD punishes himself and is too stubborn to confront it, allowing things to sit unfinished, stewing in a toxic swamp of anger, shame and guilt. He pushes his feelings aside and decides to numbly settle in a life that doesn't fit.

Then she finally returns and what's buried deep within resurfaces.....
